Intressant… Det har ju förekommit en hel del skriverier om svensk filmindustri och målet att filmregissörerna i landet skall bestå till 40% av kvinnor. I engelska Guardian berättar dokumentärfilmaren Sophie Fiennes om hur svårt det är för kvinnor att få pengar till filmprojekt i Storbritannien. Tja, inte bara enbart för kvinnor utan även i allmänhet. Men ändå.
“There is nowhere you can go to in Britain; there are very few pots of money, unlike in France. I did go to the Film Council, to the new cinema fund and I was sharply turned away on the basis that they had urgent narrative priorities. I wrote back and said: “That sounds as if you have a bladder infection.”
